What Should a Good Recovery Drink Contain?

Carbs and Protein

Both carbohydrates and protein are essential for speedy recovery. Your recovery drink should contain a 4:1 or 3:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio.

If you’re a triathlete or you’re running long distances, you’ll know that glycogen is the predominant energy source for the body. With higher levels of glycogen in your body, your performance will improve.

Amino Acids
